How to Make a Flat Design in Illustrator
There are three parts to any flat design in Illustrator: the shape, the color, and the shadow.
Using tools like the shape builder tool allows you to merge and trim exact shapes. Choosing colors more muted in saturation and luminosity provides a more realistic palette, and adding simple shadows gives your vector that flat design look.
